Lox Chair

Utilising geometry to create a simple design out of flat sheet material such as ply or acrylic. An adaptable piece that could be converted from one thing to another.

The aim was to make the chair pull apart and reconnect to create other functional pieces of furniture. Again I have maintained the concept that there need not be any fixing devices, to achieve this. The interlocking of the 2 pieces form the secure connection.

This design allows for the customisation of colours and material for the market. As I am using sheet material the options are quite wide, with laminates, veneers and colour acrylic.

I am interested in furniture that can be one thing and adapted to another, with the small space living of today. The Lox Chair pulls apart and reconnects to create a coffee table or with multiple chairs floor or wall mounted shelving can be created. You can have 2 chairs creating a coffee table in the middle of your room, and reconnect when additional seating is required.
